eGovernment: Improved – The tower of Babel: the urgency of semantic interoperability (26/05/2010, 14:00 – 15:30hrs – room E104+E105)

The Tower of Babel in ancient Babylon makes a perfect example for the urgency of semantic interoperability. In this session the keynote addresses and two cases illustrate the urgency of semantic interoperability. Standardization in languages and technologies, such as RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL alone is not enough. We need to make sure we get agreement on the meaning of concepts, so that the information can be interpreted independently of the source application, but within the context of the end-user likes citizens, businesses and public servants. The panel discussion challenges you to see what's possible and how eGovernment really can work

i.Know’s technology is an important part of the PCS Knowledge Application

i.Know and Bizzoom signed a Strategic Partnership

Integration of the i.Know technology and Oracle BI

i.Know & i4bi realise the first integration of the i.Know technology and Oracle BI. i.Know automatically analyses, links, interprets, routes and synthesizes your (unstructured) information and data (textual, genetic and sensor data).
It has the capability to store unstructured data in a structured way.Together with i4bi, i.Know created a BI solution on top of this structured data model based on Oracle technology (OBIEE). This allows you to analyse your 'unstructured data' in a dynamic and interactive mode. This proofs that both technologies are open, a natural fit and easy to integrate. For more information, please contact us or i4bi.

Launch of the real-time Sentence Based Automated Language Identification tool

i.Know launches its first version of the real-time Sentence Based Automated Language Identification tool.
This new tool further completes the i.Know technology stack. It can be used as a seperate component, but at the same time it integrates naturally with the other i.Know components.
It creates the possibility to process multi-lingual texts in a correct way. This means each sentence in the text will be analysed in the language it is actually written in.
Moreover it enables the user to process documents without being aware of the language they are written in.
